This house is located on a slope overlooking a beautiful valley and the ruins of an ancient Roman castle in southern Serbia.
The House doesn’t infringe on the existing landscape but rather incorporates it into the design, taking this condition to frame views at wide angles.
The House appropriates the slope through single volume. The Living room is rather austere, with a the suspended contemporary chimney being the only focus point that engages with the surrounding landscape.
Clean, minimal lines characterize the design throughout the design.
The insulated concrete shell is opened on the roof to bring more natural light and cross ventilation.
All bedrooms, bathroom and living areas open up to an outdoor deck by large floor to ceiling triple glass-windows that opens completely allowing integration with the main patio and the valley.
