Revamping of the Barilla Headquarters in Pedrignano (Parma), adding a landmark structure to a site that already has iconic status within the history of the brand.
The context we live in is one soulful act of art in its all shapes and forms, a romantic relationship between nature and us, humans. This relationship has been constantly evolving through out history; it is indeed an act of love.
This inspiration of love has taken us on a journey to discover “La Cascina a Corte” amazing architecture. A typical square-yarded farm located at the centre of a large piece of cultivated land in Italy. The untouchable scenery of yellow wheat fields blue sky and the rhythm of the evergreen oak trees in Italy inspired us to become a key element of our design.
Giving the existing cluster of our site and the rich history behind it we took the idea of “La Cascina a Corte” that looked familiar to us in the Emilia region and elevated its concept to a modern take on how we would like to reserve the identity of the existing urban fabric.
By elevating “La Cascina a Corte“ concept, detaching it from the ground and yet keeping the central yard intact and grounded, we created a new circulation of movement revolving around the idea of
