Situated in trendy Stoke Newington, London, this Victorian terraced house needed a full design input and total refurbishment. Due to strict planning constraints, we chose to delimit ourselves by retaining the overall structure of the existing house, whilst playing with the potential of a new side extension.
This took form as a glass lightwells, enclosing thesingle-height new kitchen area. By usingsliding glass doors the rear of the house becomes a natural and delightful transition between the outdoor and indoor spaces.
